DG
What IS a Discipleship Group (DG)?
A DG is a 3-4 man/woman group that meets weekly to share, read scripture, challenge and pray with one another. The foundation and purpose of the group is to spur one another on in the good race of pursuing intimacy with God and discovering our true calling in life. Hebrews 10:23-25.
Why DGs?
Sunday Service. Friday Night Fellowship. Worship Practice. Would you believe me when I say that these things (along with many other things we tend to associate with getting to know God) are NOT enough to bring your spiritual intimacy with God to the level it NEEDS to be? There has to be more. Intimacy is key to understanding the relationship we were meant to have with God and what life we are called to live in this world.
The UWCCF Committee is opting to encourage you to deepen your intimate relationship with God by joining a Discipleship Group. We believe this is the best medium to challenge, encourage and help one another along in our daily walks if you’re looking to take it to the next level and would be thrilled to see you taking up on this challenge!

How do I form a DG?
The formation of DGs were meant to be natural. What do we mean by that? Well, you should be forming these groups on your own. It is important to form a DG with brothers or sisters that you are comfortable with and have similar passions/personalities that you can share with one another. It is NOT something to be taken lightly! Really seek God and prayerfully consider whom you are led to partner up with in this good fight!
DG Program Suggestions
UWCCF DG programs are RECOMMENDATIONS only. If you would like to adapt your DG format to better cater to what your group is looking to do, you are in no way restricted to do so! These plans are suggestions based off of what has worked well for us in the past, so feel free to follow or just go with the flow!
The following suggestions will be updated throughout the term and follow a general format for 2hr weekly meetings:
1. Sharing (~1hr)
2. Reviewing Scripture read the past week (~30 mins)
3. Challenge Setting (~20 mins)
4. Prayer (~10 mins)
