What is the purpose of the Executive Committee?
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38
The purposes of the Executive Committee are to identify unified goals for the fellowship and through administration, to mobilize the necessary actions to achieve these goals. The Executive Committee identifies unified goals for the fellowship with input from the members. Through prayer, input from members, and planning, the Executive Committee will drive initiatives to achieve these goals and delegate responsibility to the rest of the fellowship.
The Executive Committee’s role is similar to that of the apostles described in Acts 6:1-7, namely, the ministry of the Word of God. The Executive Committee is responsible to vision, drive initiatives, and involve its members in the ministry of the Word of God.
How to run for committee?
If you are running for committee, please fill out the nomination package. You need 1 nominator and 2 seconders to nominate you as a nominee (candidate for committee). The nominee, nominator, and seconders must be members of CCF.
Election Details:
Elections: March 16 – 29, 2012
The voting ballot is facilitated online, and can be found here.
The voting is done by secret ballot, but your student ID is required to verify your membership within CCF. All members are expected to vote. Every member has a maximum of 7 votes (ie to select a full committee of 7). However, one may choose to use less than their full amount of votes. This year, only 5 candidates are running, so every member would effectively have a maximum of 5 votes. A candidate must receive 50% + 1 of support from all members of CCF to be elected to the committee. Please review the Constitution, the candidate speeches and candidate statements, and vote with a prayful mind, for the future of the fellowship.
This election will be open start at March 16, 2012, 9:30 pm EST and will close at March 29, 2012 12:00am (midnight) EST, or when all members have voted.
