I have put my Spirit upon him;

and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;

This will be the first pre-study in preparation for the Bible study this Friday night!!! Come out to study the passage in advance, especially if you are interested in being a Bible Study leader this Friday!

COMMITTEE CANDIDATES SPEECHES

This Friday (19th) we will have the Committee candidates speeches for the 2010-11 Committee Elections. Each candidate will be sharing the reason why they are running and how God has been working in their lives. If CCF is your spiritual family in Waterloo, we encourage you to be part of these elections by voting for the next year’s leaders and lift this decision up in prayer. Also we encourage you to become members which confirms your responsibility in doing your part as a family for the welfare of this fellowship. Membership is required for voting in the Committee elections. The membership deadline is this Friday.

Membership and renewal forms will be available during CCF. You are also encouraged to read the constitution and bring your own membership form (here). If you are unsure whether you are a member email us back.

Elections will happen next week, and members will be notified via e-mail. Committee candidates statements will be up on the website by the end of this week.

If you answered yes to any of these questions (or no, as well!) here’s a chance for you to share some insight!

The purpose of Insight is to encourage our brothers and sisters through our writing and reflections on life, the term and on running the race. If you have anything you would love to share, this is an excellent opportunity for you to do it!

How has your term been? Any God-given insight about school? about fellowship? about LIFE?

Every term UWCCF puts together a compilation of articles written by its members with the intent of sharing blessings, passions and encouragements with one another. We are currently looking for a coordinator to help organize insight! Want to put your design skills into practice? Well this is the job for you!!!! THIS Thursday: Booth Day @ SLC

Tomorrow (Oct 22 10am-4pm), Promotion/Media Ministry are hosting a Booth Day at SLC!

The purpose of Booth Day is to reach out to people on campus and promote any upcoming events in CCF, our vision, CCF ministries, and Frosh cell, etc. It is similar to clubs days (i.e. like a continuation of it). We want to continue to make CCF to become more aware on campus and to reach out to people who are searching for a fellowship and for God. We also want to clarify some of the confusion or misunderstanding about CCF (i.e. CCF do welcome people from different cultural background and nationalities ). We encourage people from CCF to come and help out if they are free! also let us know if you have any upcoming events with which newcomers can get involved.

New Student Reception (NSR) – looking for help!

CCF plans NSR every Fall term, and the objective is to inform and promote CCF to the frosh and to challenge them to pursue Christ and to fellowship.

We are in the process of praying and seeking a vision for NSR. Meanwhile, we would like to ask for your help in any of the following areas:
- Promotion and Decoration
- Event coordinator (games and activities)
- Insight
- Food
- Small group leaders
