2009-10 Vision
The Vision set by the 2009-2010 UWCCF Elected Committee is to see ourselves become:
A fellowship that fearlessly pursues God’s own heart, is empowered by the Holy Spirit, and is made alive in the fullness of Christ.
The Vision speaks to what the UWCCF Elected Committee feels is the true foundation of the Christian walk, which is intimate relationship and communion with the Holy Trinity. Each member of the Trinity has a specific effect and impact on our lives.
- Through the pursuit of God’s own heart, we believe that He will guide each of us to our specific calling in this world and to fulfil our God-given purpose. (Ephesians 1:17-19)
- We believe the Holy Spirit is necessary to fulfil our God-given purpose in our respective mission fields and want to continue to learn and understand how we can be empowered by and commune with the Holy Spirit in daily living. (Acts 1:8)
- Thanks to Christ, we are able to die to our old ways and be transformed through the faith, understanding and acceptance of His grace & mercy. It is thanks to His sacrifice that we can live in joy and in victory. (John 1:16)
We have faith that by pursuing the Holy Trinity and an intimate relationship with/understanding of them, that we will be able to see amazing changes in each of our lives, our fellowship and on our campus. As a band of brothers and sisters, we hope to journey in this together, hand-in-hand to discover more about this calling that God has placed for us here at the University of Waterloo.
