Winter Term Committee

The Winter 2009 CCF Executive Committee consists on the following members:

Chairperson: Derek Ma – (expand/collapse)
The Chairperson is responsible for helping drive the “visioning” of the Committee, and for overseeing every part of the fellowship to help CCF glorify God through its existence. The Chair is responsible for involving all members of the Committee to plan together, pray together, and vision for the next year. The Chair drives the visioning in the Committee by initiating discussion of high-level issues of CCF: What direction is our fellowship headed? What are our strengths? What do we need to work on to better glorify God?

Vice-chairperson: David Yew – (expand/collapse)
The Vice-chair overlooks logistical factors such as CCF finances and is responsible for outreach efforts. In times when the Chairperson is not present, the responsibilities of the Chairperson would fall to the Vice-chair. During discussions, although the entire Committee should consider all thoughts with careful examination, the Vice-chair is expected to consider the ideas of the Committee and bring up aspects about the situations that has not already been considered.

Program Coordinator: Jorge Quan – (expand/collapse)
The Program Coordinator (PC) is mainly responsible for overseeing the “vision” of Friday night programs. This includes demonstrating creativity/innovation in doing the program, and making sure things run smoothly. Also, the PC can help get other members of the fellowship involved, by coordinating leaders or volunteers for leadership roles within Friday night programs.

Communications: Caleb Yeung – (expand/collapse)
The Communications person is a kind of liaison between the fellowship and the rest of the Committee. The Communications person is responsible for helping make the Committee more approachable to the rest of the fellowship, and finding new and non-boring ways of disseminating announcements and presenting important information to the fellowship.The Communications person can be responsible for things like improving the website, helping coordinate joint events with other fellowships, and keeping an eye on how the CCF can draw in newcomers more.

Devotional Leaders: Jacky Chan, Josh Lo, Elena Wang –

Devotional Leaders are responsible for helping drive the vision of the fellowship through Bible studies, and encouraging the worship of God and spiritual development of CCF’s members through Bible study and cell groups.DLs should find innovative ways for getting CCFers excited about Bible study, prayer and small groups. Tasks that they might perform include: checking up on small groups and small group leaders, organizing a Bible reading plan, planning prayer meetings, leading pre-studies, helping start Investigative Bible studies.
